General and Interesting Why Do Tonsil Stones Hurt Information:

Tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones, are small pieces of calcareous matter that develop in the crevasses of the tonsils. Discover more about it here.

In certain persons very little, quite hard, calcareous lumps, which you'll find white-colored in color, occur in the crevasses of the tonsils, generally known as tonsillar crypts. These lumps, called tonsilloliths, or calculus of the tonsil, or tonsil stones, can range in size from tiny little bits to pea sized ones and they have a tendency of remaining lodged in the region of the tonsils for some time, until they're dislodged finally. They normally are accompanied by a bad smell emanating from the tonsils, and a person suffering from tonsilloliths experiences an actual sensation of something being lodged in the back part of the throat.

Basic solutions and practices for the removal of tonsil stones:

One solution is to use a stainless long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would need to push the stone out from beneath. This technique works easier if the stone is older and harder. You can even use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The usage of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of gathered debris may also help (using an adjustable unit with a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are utilized to suck out the more compact stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To relieve gagging people occasionally think about using everyday objects, like toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a much larger finger. This is not recommended because of the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme caution when attempting any of the methods as listed above. The tonsils and throat are delicate, and can be harmed or irritated very easily.

Tonsils

Since I do know what they are and just how cheap and straightforward it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel mindless or like I've been duped. All of this time, I thought I'd some certain illness or something like that and paid tons of money on visits to the doctor and prescriptions. Very little did I know up until just a calendar month ago.....

I've been weighed down by these bad little things for years and up until not long ago I had no clue what the heck they were. I've been to the physician, dealt with some down-right dangerous sore throats, had awful ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away for good and tried all kinds of junk to get rid of them.

They would come and go, appear and disappear at all the worst times you could imagine of. My first visit to my doctor to really ask him about them got me a vague answer about some sort of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't clear away squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was placed on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.

Remember though that I had no clue just what it was. Finally he told me that the only method to eliminate them was to have my tonsils removed. YIKES!!

Then he said it was not recommended for a person to have their tonsils taken out after they reach a particular age not to mention how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!

So I started digging them out, using all kinds of mouthwash, gargling three times each day and maybe a few days I might not see them but, VOILA...they always returned. I've stuck a wide variety of things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It isn't really even funny! Well...actually yes it really is funny.

Well, skip on to the most crucial part. How I found out what they were and how to eliminate them for ever in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little lady unintentionally, looked over her information, tried it and now I'm one Contented, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not joking when I say, the junk breath, throat irritation, ear aches.....ALL Eliminated! ;-)
