General Why Do Tonsil Stones Hurt Information:

Tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones, are little pieces of calcareous matter that develop in the crevasses of the tonsils. Find out more about it here.

In certain regular people little, quite hard, calcareous lumps, which are usually white in color, occur in the crevasses of the tonsils, generally known as tonsillar crypts. These lumps, known as tonsilloliths, or calculus of the tonsil, or tonsil stones, can range in size from tiny little bits to pea sized ones and they have a tendency of remaining lodged in the area of the tonsils for some time, until they are dislodged finally. They are usually accompanied by a potent smell coming from from the tonsils, and a person suffering from tonsilloliths deals with an actual sensation of something being lodged in the back part of the throat.

Normal procedures and practices for eliminating tonsil stones:

One method is to use a stainless steel long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would have to push the stone out from underneath. This method works easier when the stone is older and harder. You can also use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of accumulated debris may also help (using an adjustable unit on a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are used to suck out the smaller stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To reduce gagging people sometimes think about using everyday objects, such as toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a much larger finger. This is not recommended because of the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme caution when attempting any of the methods listed above. The tonsils and throat are very sensitive, and can be damaged or irritated quite easily.

Tonsil Rocks

Since I recognize the things they are and how cheap and easy it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel silly or like I've been duped. All this time, I was thinking I had some serious illness or something and paid out a small fortune on visits to the doctor and prescription medications. Very little did I know up until just a 30 days ago.....

I have been plagued by these bad little things for years and up until not long ago I had NO IDEA what the heck they were. I've been to the physician, experienced some down-right horrible sore throats, had terrible ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away and tried all kinds of items to get rid of them.

They would come and go, appear and disappear at all the worst times you could imagine of. My first visit to my doctor to actually ask him about them got me a hazy answer about some sort of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't eliminate squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was placed on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.

Remember though that I had NO IDEA just what it was. Finally he told me that the only way to make them go away was to have my tonsils removed. YIKES!!

Then he explained it was not suggested for a person to have their tonsils taken out after they reach a particular age not to mention how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!

So I started digging them out, using all types of mouthwash, gargling three times per day and maybe a couple of days I wouldn't see them but, VOILA...they always came back. I've stuck a wide variety of things in my mouth to try and dig them out, It's not even funny! Well...actually yes it truly is funny.

Well, skip forward to the most crucial part. How I discovered what they were and how to eliminate them forever in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little lady accidentally, looked over her info, tried it and now I'm one Satisfied, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I'm not kidding around when I say, the junk breath, throat aggravation, ear aches.....ALL Vanished! ;-)
