It only feels like it's in your throat, but it's actually in your tonsils. That's why they didn't see anything in your throat--because there IS nothing in your throat. but as i mentioned before the only thing short of removing your tonsils is to gargle 2 or 3 times a day (preferably after every meal) and eventually you'll get it. promise. try not to get too worked up about it although i know from experience that it can be pretty aggravating.
Basic solutions and practices for the removal of tonsil stones:
One solution is to use a stainless steel long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would have to force the stone out from underneath. This method works easier when the stone is older and harder. Additionally you can use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The usage of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of accumulated debris may also help (using an adjustable unit at a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe and avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are utilized to suck out the more compact stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To relieve gagging people oftentimes consider using everyday items, such as toothpicks, as small tools rather then using a larger finger. It's not suggested because of the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use care when attempting any of the methods as listed above. The tonsils and throat are incredibly sensitive, and can be hurt or irritated quite easily.
Since I am aware what they are and just how cheap and straightforward it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel ignorant or like I've been duped. All of this time, I assumed I had some certain illness or something and wasted tons of money on visits to the doctor and medications. Little did I know up until just a four week period ago.....
I have been weighed down by these awful little things for years and up until recently I had NO IDEA what the heck they were. I've been to the physician, undergone some down-right dangerous sore throats, had painful ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away completely and tried all kinds of tricks to remove them.
They'd come and go, appear and disappear at all the most awful times you could imagine of. My first visit to my doctor to actually question him about them got me a vague answer about some type of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't remove squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was placed on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.
Bear in mind that I had no clue what it really was. Finally he told me that the only method to get rid of them was to have my tonsils taken out. YIKES!!
Then he told me it was not recommended for a person to have their tonsils removed after they reach a specific age not to mention how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!
So I started digging them out, using all kinds of mouthwash, gargling 3 times a day and maybe a couple of days I wouldn't see them but, VOILA...they always came back. I've stuck so many different things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It's actually not even funny! Well...actually yes it is funny.
Well, skip ahead to the main part. How I found out what they were and how to eliminate them permanently in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little woman by chance, looked over her information, tried it and now I'm one Pleased, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I'm not kidding around when I say, the crap breath, throat annoyance, ear aches.....ALL GONE! ;-)
