Facts, General & Interesting White Ulcers On Tonsils Information:

Tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones, are tiny items of calcareous matter that form in the crevasses of the tonsils. Find out about it here.

In certain people young and old tiny, hard, calcareous lumps, which are usually white in color, occur in the crevasses of the tonsils, also known as tonsillar crypts. These lumps, called tonsilloliths, or calculus of the tonsil, or tonsil stones, can range in size from tiny little bits to pea sized ones and they have a tendency of remaining lodged in the area of the tonsils for some time, until they are dislodged finally. They are usually accompanied by a horrible smell emanating from the tonsils, and a person afflicted with tonsilloliths deals with a physical sensation of something being lodged in the rear part of the throat.

Usual procedures and practices for cleaning out tonsil stones:

One method is to use a stainless steel long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would have to push the stone out from underneath. This method works easier when the stone is older and harder. You can also use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of accumulated debris may also help (using an adjustable unit on a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are used to suck out the smaller stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To reduce gagging people sometimes think about using everyday objects, such as toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a much larger finger. This is not recommended because of the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme caution when attempting any of the methods listed above. The tonsils and throat are very sensitive, and can be damaged or irritated quite easily.

Tonsillolith

Since I recognize the things they are and how cheap and easy it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel ridiculous or like I've been duped. All of this time, I assumed I'd some serious illness or something and paid tons of money on visits to the doctor and prescription medications. Very little did I know up until just a calendar month ago.....

I have been affected by these horrible tiny problems for years and up until recently I really didn't know what the heck they were. I've been to the physician, encountered some down-right awful sore throats, had awful ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away for good and tried all kinds of gadgets to remove them.

They would come and go, appear and disappear at all the most unfortunate times you could imagine of. My first visit to my doctor to actually question him about them got me a hazy answer about some sort of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't do away with squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was put on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.

Bear in mind that I had NO IDEA what it really was. Finally he told me that the only way to make them go away was to have my tonsils taken out. Goodness!!

Then he explained it was not suggested for a person to have their tonsils removed after they reach a particular age not to mention how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!

So I started digging them out, using all types of mouthwash, gargling 3 times each day and maybe a few days I would not see them but, VOILA...they always returned. I've stuck so many different things in my mouth to try and dig them out, It is not even funny! Well...actually yes it is funny.

Well, skip ahead to the key part. How I realised what they were and how to remove them for good in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little lady accidentally, read her info, tried it and now I'm one Delighted, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not joking when I say, the poo breath, throat soreness, ear aches.....ALL Long gone! ;-)
