General and Interesting What Causes White Spots On Throat Information:

Tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones, are little pieces of calcareous matter that develop in the crevasses of the tonsils. Find out about it here.

In certain persons small, hard, calcareous lumps, which can be white in color, occur in the crevasses of the tonsils, generally known as tonsillar crypts. These lumps, named tonsilloliths, or calculus of the tonsil, or tonsil stones, can range in size from tiny little bits to pea sized ones and they have a tendency of staying lodged in the area of the tonsils for a period of time, until they are dislodged finally. They are usually accompanied by a nasty smell coming from from the tonsils, and a person afflicted with tonsilloliths encounters an actual sensation of something being stuck in the rear part of the throat.

Well-known techniques and practices for taking out tonsil stones:

One method is to use a stainless steel long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would need to push the stone out from underneath. This process works easier if the stone is older and harder. You can even use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of built up debris may also help (using an adjustable unit over a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are utilized to suck out the smaller stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To relieve gagging people oftentimes consider using everyday things, such as toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a bigger finger. This is simply not advised due to the danger of the short light toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use guardedness when trying any of the methods listed above. The tonsils and throat are sensitive, and can be injured or inflammed very easily.

Tonsil Stone

Given that I recognize what they are and exactly how cheap and straightforward it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel moronic or like I've been duped. All of this time, I believed I had some certain illness or something like that and paid out tons of money on visits to the doctor and prescription medications. Very little did I know up until just a few weeks ago.....

I've been affected by these bad little things for years and up until not long ago I had NO IDEA what the heck they were. I've been to the doctor, undergone some down-right dangerous sore throats, had harmful ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away completely and tried all kinds of items to remove them.

They'd come and go, appear and disappear at all the worst times you could think of. My first trip to my doctor to actually question him about them got me a vague answer about some type of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't remove squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was put on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.

Remember though that I had no clue what it really was. Finally he told me that the only way to eliminate them was to have my tonsils removed. YIKES!!

Then he said it was not recommended for a person to have their tonsils taken out after they reach a particular age not to mention just how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!

So I started digging them out, using loads of mouthwash, gargling 3 times per day and maybe a few days I wouldn't see them but, VOILA...they always returned. I've stuck a wide variety things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It isn't even funny! Well...actually yes it is funny.

Well, skip ahead to the main part. How I found out what they were and how to get rid of them once for all in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little woman by chance, read her material, tried it and now I'm one Joyful, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not kidding when I say, the crap breath, throat annoyance, ear aches.....ALL Eliminated! ;-)
