can your doctor take it out for you the tonsil stones? I found out somebody said a doctor took a popsicle thing and put it into their mouth and got it out. I could not seem to get it out by myself. Can a typical doctor do it but only can a throat doctor specificialist do it right.
Tonsil Stone Removal Tips:
One method is to use a stainless long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would need to push the stone out from underneath. Using this method works easier if the stone is older and harder. You could use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of accumulated debris may also help (using an adjustable unit on the low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe in order to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are used to suck out the smaller sized stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To get relief from gagging people sometimes consider using everyday items, for example toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a larger finger. It's not advised because of the danger of the short light-weight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use careful attention when attempting any of the methods in the list above. The tonsils and throat are extremely delicate, and can be damaged or inflammed quite easily.
Seeing that I recognize what they are and how cheap and straightforward it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel silly or like I've been duped.
