Interesting Tonsil Stones Stuck In Back Of Throat Information:
Larger tonsilloliths may have multiple symptoms, including recurrent halitosis, which frequently accompanies a tonsil infection, sore throat, white debris, a bad taste in the back of the throat, difficulty swallowing, otalgia, and tonsil swelling.A medical study conducted in 2007 found an association between tonsilloliths and bad breath. Among those with bad breath, 75% of the subjects had tonsilloliths while only 6% of subjects with normal halitometry values (normal breath) had tonsilloliths.A foreign body sensation may also exist in the back of throat. The condition may also be an asymptomatic condition, with detection upon palpating a hard intratonsillar or submucosal mass.
Treatment, if required, is usually removal of concretions by curettage; larger lesions may require local excision although these treatments may not help the bad breath issues that are often associated with this condition. Gargling with mouth wash and frequent teeth brushing will sometimes help stop the formation of tonsil stones. It is recommended to check your tonsils at least once a week in order to prevent giant tonsil stones from forming.
Widely used approaches and practices for extracting tonsil stones:
One method is to use a metal long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would have to force the stone out from beneath. Using this method works easier if the stone is older and harder. You can even use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of gathered debris may also help (using an adjustable unit at a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to prevent yourself from damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are utilized to suck out the more compact stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To get relief from gagging people sometimes think about using everyday things, such as toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a much larger finger. This isn't suggested due to the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme caution when trying any of the methods in the above list. The tonsils and throat are extremely delicate, and can be hurt or inflammed very easily.
Now that I realize the things they are and how cheap and easy it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel foolish or like I've been duped. All this time, I thought I'd some serious illness or something and spent a small fortune on doctor visits and prescription medications. Little did I know up until just a four week period ago.....
I've been plagued by these ugly tiny problems for years and up until a short time ago I had no clue what the heck they were. I've been to the doctor, encountered some down-right terrible sore throats, had awful ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away for good and tried all kinds of things to eliminate them.
They'd come and go, appear and disappear at all the most unfortunate times you could imagine of. My first trip to my doctor to actually ask him about them got me a vague answer about some sort of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't clear away squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was put on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.
Bear in mind that I had NO IDEA what it really was. Finally he told me that the only method to get rid of them was to have my tonsils removed. Help!!
Then he explained it was not recommended for a person to have their tonsils taken out after they reach a certain age not to mention how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!
So I started digging them out, using all sorts of mouthwash, gargling 3 times a day and maybe a couple of days I wouldn't see them but, VOILA...they always came back. I've stuck a wide variety of things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It's actually not even funny! Well...actually yes it really is funny.
Well, skip forward to the most important part. How I found out what they were and how to eliminate them forever in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little woman unintentionally, read her info, tried it and now I'm one Completely satisfied, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not joking when I say, the stool breath, throat discomfort, ear aches.....ALL Eliminated! ;-)
