Actually a lot of people think that problem comes from chewing food but it's not necessarily so. A lot of times the problem is that your sinues drain in the back of your throat and form these "stones" in your tonsils. The only permanent solution is to have your tonsils removed, which I wouldn't recommend. Other than that, the next best thing is to gargle with warm salt water (not HOT and not too much salt, which will irritate your mouth and cause sores). If you gargle every day, morning and night, it may take a while to get rid of the ones you have but it'll work and you don't have to worry about it anymore. If you think your issue could be sinus related, I would recommend using a neti pot (you can google it if u don't know what it is). there's one called sinucleanse or something like that u can get from any grocery/drug store and basically u use it to watch out your sinus cavities. Hope this helps.
General ways and practices for removing tonsil stones:
One solution is to use a metal long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would have to press the stone out from beneath. Using this method works easier if the stone is older and harder. You may also use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The usage of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of accumulated debris may also help (using an adjustable unit at a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to prevent damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are utilized to suck out the less massive stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To relieve gagging people oftentimes consider using everyday items, for example toothpicks, as small tools rather than using a much larger finger. It's not advisable because of the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme caution when attempting any of the methods in the above list. The tonsils and throat are very delicate, and can be harmed or irritated very easily.
Given that I know the things they are and exactly how cheap and easy it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel dumb or like I've been duped. All this time, I was thinking I'd some certain illness or something and spent a small fortune on visits to the doctor and solutions. Little did I know up until just a few weeks ago.....
I've been plagued by these unpleasant tiny problems for years and up until just lately I really didn't know what the heck they were. I've been to the medical doctor, encountered some down-right awful sore throats, had terrible ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't disappear completely and tried all kinds of things to get rid of them.
They would come and go, appear and disappear at all the most unfortunate times you could imagine of. My first visit to my doctor to really question him about them got me a vague answer about some sort of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't eliminate squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was placed on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.
Remember though that I really didn't know just what it was. Finally he told me that the only way to eliminate them was to have my tonsils removed. YIKES!!
Then he said it was not advised for a person to have their tonsils taken out after they reach a certain age not to mention how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!
So I started digging them out, using all sorts of mouthwash, gargling 3 times per day and maybe a couple of days I might not see them but, VOILA...they always came back. I've stuck a wide variety of things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It isn't even funny! Well...actually yes it truly is funny.
Well, skip ahead to the key part. How I found out what they were and how to remove them once and for all in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little woman by accident, read her material, tried it and now I'm one Delighted, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not joking when I say, the stool breath, throat aggravation, ear aches.....ALL No longer! ;-)
If you want to know how I removed my Tonsil Stones, just put in your name and email and I'll send you the link of the site I found and used.
