can a doctor take it out for you the tonsil stones? I found out somebody said a doctor took a popsicle thing and put it into their mouth and took it out. I could not seem to get it out myself. Can a typical doctor do it but only can a throat doctor specificialist do it.

Typical means and practices for the removal of tonsil stones:

One method is to use a stainless long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would need to push the stone out from beneath. This method works easier when the stone is older and harder. It's also possible to use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of accumulated debris may also help (using an adjustable unit over a low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe in order to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are used to suck out the more compact stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To reduce gagging people often consider using everyday things, like toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a much larger finger. This isn't encouraged because of the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme caution when trying any of the methods in the above list. The tonsils and throat are sensitive, and can be harmed or irritated quite easily.

Now that I recognize the things they are and just how cheap and easy it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel ridiculous or like I've been duped. All this time, I was thinking I had some serious illness or something like that and invested a small fortune on visits to the doctor and prescription medications. Little did I know up until just a few weeks ago.....

I've been affected by these ugly little things for years and up until just lately I had NO IDEA what the heck they were. I've been to the physician, suffered some down-right awful sore throats, had painful ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't leave and tried all kinds of tricks to get rid of them.

They would come and go, appear and disappear at all the most unfortunate times you may realise of. My first visit to my doctor to really question him about them got me a hazy answer about some kind of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't get rid of squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was put on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.

Bear in mind that I really didn't know exactly what it was. Finally he told me that the only way to get rid of them was to have my tonsils removed. YIKES!!

Then he informed me it was not recommended for a person to have their tonsils taken out after they reach a certain age not to mention just how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!

So I started digging them out, using all types of mouthwash, gargling three times each day and maybe a couple of days I wouldn't see them but, VOILA...they always returned. I've stuck a wide variety of things in my mouth to try and dig them out, It isn't even funny! Well...actually yes it is funny.

Well, skip ahead to the most important part. How I realised what they were and how to remove them permanently in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little lady by accident, read her info, tried it and now I'm one Delighted, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not kidding around when I say, the crap breath, throat irritation, ear aches.....ALL Long gone! ;-)
