Actually a lot of people think that problem comes from chewing food but it's not necessarily so. A lot of times the problem is that your sinues drain in the back of your throat and form these "stones" in your tonsils. The only permanent solution is to have your tonsils removed, which I wouldn't recommend. Other than that, the next best thing is to gargle with warm salt water (not HOT and not too much salt, which will irritate your mouth and cause sores). If you gargle every day, morning and night, it may take a while to get rid of the ones you have but it'll work and you don't have to worry about it anymore. If you think your issue could be sinus related, I would recommend using a neti pot (you can google it if u don't know what it is). there's one called sinucleanse or something like that u can get from any grocery/drug store and basically u use it to watch out your sinus cavities. Hope this helps.
Commonly used means and practices for taking out tonsil stones:
One method is to use a metal long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would need to force the stone out from beneath. This process works easier when the stone is older and harder. You can also use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of gathered debris may also help (using an adjustable unit on the low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe to prevent yourself from damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are used to suck out the more compact stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To relieve gagging people at times consider using everyday objects, like toothpicks, as small tools rather then using a bigger finger. It's not encouraged due to the danger of the short lightweight toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use extreme care when trying any of the methods as listed above. The tonsils and throat are incredibly sensitive, and can be injured or inflammed very easily.
Now that I do know the things they are and how cheap and straightforward it is to destroy Tonsil Stones, I almost feel mindless or like I've been duped. All of this time, I thought I had some serious illness or something and put in a small fortune on visits to the doctor and medications. Little did I know up until just a thirty day period ago.....
I've been overwhelmed by these terrible tiny problems for years and up until not too long ago I had no clue what the heck they were. I've been to the medical doctor, experienced some down-right distressing sore throats, had bad ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't vanish entirely and tried all kinds of junk to get rid of them.
They'd come and go, appear and disappear at all the most awful times you may realise of. My first visit to my doctor to really question him about them got me a vague answer about some kind of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't clear away squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was placed on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.
Bear in mind that I had no clue just what it was. Finally he told me that the only method to eliminate them was to have my tonsils taken out. Oh no!!
Then he told me it was not advised for a person to have their tonsils removed after they reach a specific age not to mention just how much it would cost. So did I do that? Heck no!
So I started digging them out, using loads of mouthwash, gargling 3 times a day and maybe a couple of days I might not see them but, VOILA...they always came back. I've stuck a wide variety things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It's actually not even funny! Well...actually yes it really is funny.
Well, skip on to the key part. How I discovered what they were and how to get rid of them permanently in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little lady by chance, read her information, tried it and now I'm one Delighted, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I am not kidding around when I say, the stool breath, throat aggravation, ear aches.....ALL GONE! ;-)
