Facts & Educational Can You Have Tonsil Stones Without Tonsils Information:

Tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones, are tiny pieces of calcareous matter that develop in the crevasses of the tonsils. Find out about it here.

In certain persons very little, solid, calcareous lumps, which you'll find white-colored in color, occur in the crevasses of the tonsils, also referred to as tonsillar crypts. These lumps, called tonsilloliths, or calculus of the tonsil, or tonsil stones, can range in size from tiny little bits to pea sized ones and they have a tendency of remaining lodged in the area of the tonsils for a period of time, until they are dislodged finally. They're usually accompanied by a potent smell emanating from the tonsils, and a person suffering from tonsilloliths suffers from a physical sensation of something being stuck in the back part of the throat.

Commonly used approaches and practices for removing tonsil stones:

One method is to use a metal long handled spoon 7.5 inches. You would have to force the stone out from underneath. This technique works easier when the stone is older and harder. It's also possible to use tweezers to pluck the stone out. The use of pulsating irrigation to clear out the crypts of built up debris may also help (using an adjustable unit on the low pressure setting or a needleless Monoject syringe in order to avoid damaging tissue.) Alternately medicine droppers (especially one with a curved tip) are utilized to suck out the smaller sized stones. Using such a medicine dropper to first irrigate the area with saline which may help to bring the tonsil stone to the surface from which it can then be more easily sucked out with the dropper. To get relief from gagging people occasionally consider using everyday items, like toothpicks, as small tools instead of using a larger finger. This isn't encouraged due to the danger of the short light toothpick/object being released and breathed into the throat. Use care when attempting any of the methods as listed above. The tonsils and throat are extremely delicate, and can be harmed or agitated very easily.

Tonsil

I've been plagued by these nasty little things for years and up until recently I had NO IDEA what the heck they were. I've been to the doctor, suffered some down-right nasty sore throats, had bad ear aches, nasty breath that wouldn't go away and tried all kinds of stuff to get rid of them.

They would come and go, appear and disappear at all the worst times you could think of. My first trip to my doctor to actually ask him about them got me a vague answer about some sort of throat infection and a dose of antibiotics which didn't get rid of squat! I swear I made 5 different visits and was put on three different prescriptions none of which did a bit of good.

Remember though that I had NO idea what it was. Finally he told me that the only way to get rid of them was to have my tonsils removed. YIKES!!

So did I do that? Heck no!

So I started digging them out, using all sorts of mouthwash, gargling 3 times a day and maybe a couple of days I wouldn't see them but, VOILA...they always came back. I've stuck so many different things in my mouth to try and dig those things out, It's not even funny! Well...actually yes it is funny.

Well, skip ahead to the most important part. How I found out what they were and how to get rid of them for GOOD in about 3 weeks. I actually found this little lady by accident, read her information, tried it and now I'm one HAPPY, Tonsil Stone free guy now! I'm not kidding when I say, the crap breath, throat irritation, ear aches.....ALL GONE! ;-)
